Purpose When the brakes of car are applied all four wheels should stop at the same time to ensure that the car stops in a straight line. This is possible only when the brakes on all four wheels are applied with the same force at the same time.
A brake tester is used to check the braking force at each wheel and the left to right difference in braking efficiency.
The side slip tester provides a quick way to check the wheel alignment of a car. Side slip is the sideways movement of car wheels as the car moves in a straight line. Ideally,the side slip of the wheels should be zero.
