| Purpose | When the brakes of car are applied all four wheels should stop at the same time to ensure that the car stops in a straight line. This is possible only when the brakes on all four wheels are applied with the same force at the same time.
A brake tester is used to check the braking force at each wheel and the left to right difference in braking efficiency. The side slip tester provides a quick way to check the wheel alignment of a car. Side slip is the sideways movement of car wheels as the car moves in a straight line. Ideally, the side slip of the wheels should be zero. |
| Highlights | The brake tester is of the roller type that is preferred world wide to the flat plate testers.
The complete system can be operated from the driver's seat via remote control. The rear rollers of the roller bed assembly are raised by 35mm to prevent the car from climbing out as the brakes are applied. The additional LCD displays efficiency, braking force, ovality and side to side difference. The side slip tester can indicate whether the wheel alignment of the car is correct or not just by driving the car over the test plate. |
