Manufacturer
Robinair of USA.

Purpose
For optimum performance of the car a/c system, the refrigerant in the system must be free from impurities and of the correct quantity as specified by the car manufacturer.
The Robinair system recovers the existing refrigerant from the car's a/c system, cleans it of impurities like moisture, air etc.and then feeds it back to the car's a/c system. If the quantity of gas recovered is inadequate, gas is supplied from the gas tanks attached to the system.

Highlights
The system can handle the R-12 refrigerant used in the a/c systems of older cars and the R-134 A refrigerant that is now being introduced in newer cars.
The system can instantly switch from R-12 to R-134A as it has separate systems for handling R-12 and R-134A gases.
The complete cycle of recovery, recycling and recharging is done with a single hook up and the car's engine does not need to be running during the operation.
The vaccum pump allows a deep vaccum to be reached quickly for thorough de-hydration of the car's a/c system.
R-12 gas (Freon) which causes damage to the earth's ozone layer is not released into the atmosphere, but recycled back for future use.
Charging of the car's a/c system by weight results in optimum performance from the a/c and is superior to charging by pressure as is normally done. The system is mobile and can be wheeled up to the car to be serviced.
